Last Monday Caleb took us girls on a day date. We went to Del Mar and enjoyed lunch at  L`Auberge. It was such a wonderful time. It was the first family date and my husband couldn't have planned it better. After lunch we took a short walk around the area and we just enjoyed being together and living in such a beautiful place.

Can't wait for our next date.

Last Saturday Antonella and I went to brunch with Mayra and Kitzya in Pacific Beach at Isabel's cantina. We had a great time eating and chatting and just being girls.

These girls are amazing, they are encouraging, devoted to their husbands and to God and just beautiful inside and out. We had quite the candid conversation on marriage, and child bearing, and life. I am so blessed I have people in my life I can talk to and be completely honest with, friendships are not possible without honesty.

Ladies let's make sure we get together again soon, there is planning to do!

When you work at a church and your birthday falls on a Sunday you know you have to have a low key birthday. And when you want a low key birthday, it all works out perfect.

I've never liked drawing too much attention to myself on my birthdays, no, it has nothing to do with aging or things like that, I have no problem being 30, it's just uncomfrotable for me to have too much attention on me on my birthday. So when Caleb asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I told him the truth, spend time with my family.

On Sunday we went to church, people hugged me and gave me gifts and after Caleb arranged for us to go to lunch with a few of my girlfriends to Craft & Commerce. They had a Crème brûlée for me with the 30 on top of it and we got to celebrate my 30th birthday and Antonella's first 30 days (we were both born on the 16).

My girl friends had people write what they appreciate about me and they put it all in a journal so I ended up crying while reading all the amazing, sweet things people had to say.

As usual my birthday was perfect, I am loving 30.

Remember the 567 donut day? well this year we participated too and we made 700 donuts. It was such a great time as it always is with these guys.

We were able to welcome parents from 3 different schools in the area on their kids' first day.

Antonella was there with us and helped by sleeping soundly and letting momma help out.

Meet Alyssa! She is from Blaine, WA and my husband used to be a helper in the kids ministry when she was a little toddler. She was visiting San Diego so we got together with her and had breakfast at Snooze (which is amazing, if you haven't been, make your way there tomorrow morning, yumm!).

I met her when we were visiting last winter and she is just a sweet girl, it was so nice to see her and chat with her, hope to see her back down here again!

K and I got a gift groupon for the mystery cafe dinner theater a while ago and we decided to use it this past weekend. It was fun and different, neither one of us was able to resolve all the mysteries taking place during dinner but we had fun and met some nice people at our table. I love dates with K, we always have the best time.

I don't know if Antonella is going to love berries or if there is something taking place in my body that makes me crave berries all the time, but when my husband makes me this plates of berries in the morning I immediately know my day will be awesome. Berries are just amazing right now for me, something about pregnancy has made them a must in my home.

We found a small store in San Diego that has some Colombian food. It was sooooo exciting to see some familiar groceries. Isn't my husband so very handsome?

My belly is growing fast but I have been able to still wear my clothes so that's good, I did get a couple of belly bands and I wore one once but didn't feel so comfortable so I am waiting to grow a bit more to give them another try.

Uploaded from the Photobucket iPhone App We had not had a chance to get together with Brandon & Julia in so long we just texted them and asked what they were doing for dinner and, just like that we ended up at Davanti Enoteca in San Diego. The food was amazing, and we had a great time. If you are in San Diego definitely visit Davanti, get a burger and the focaccia (which is absolutely outstanding), and enjoy a good time.

We love living so close to a farmer's market, it makes Saturday mornings fun and full of healthy samples. Every time we go to the Little Italy Mercato we get amazing fruits and veggies and flowers for the week, not to mention the nice walk and amazing hummus that ends up in our fridge. If we move I will surely miss it.

We found a Cuban/Puerto Rican restaurant in San Diego called Andres Restaurant and it was outstanding! I love Cuban food, it is part of my top 5 best kinds of food; and I miss Colombian food very very much and this was somewhat close. I think I ate a bit too much, but it was worth it, my heart was so happy. Caleb loved it too and wanted to go back for dinner, I couldn't have done it so we'll visit soon again.

K and I decided to try Corvette Diner in liberty station and we loved it. The waitresses have crazy 60's hair and attire and everyone is fun. We were rushing because we had to get back to class at PLNU but we have to go back and play in their arcade while we wait for our meal. Go visit if you are in San Diego!

I am not a wonderful cook. I have however, managed to master a couple of things. Turkey taco meat is one of them.

We had a Mexican night last week and I cooked my turkey taco meat, it was lovely! I am now officially craving some of it.

Yesterday my amazing husband turned 32. He says he's old all the time but he has such a young spirit I don't think he will ever be old. We had a few events and you will see pictures of those, but in the later afternoon we went to Extraordinary Desserts with my Dad, Milena and Juli and had something sweet and delicious to celebrate my absolute favorite man.

I know this is going to sound crazy but sometimes I cry when I think of Caleb. I sit at home by myself some early mornings while he is at the gym and I see the tea he made me before leaving, I think of the kiss he gave me before leaving, the words he whispers as soon as he wakes up, the prayers he prays and I can't help but cry. I feel so blessed by God, so honored He trusted me to be this amazing man's wife. This is only the 4th year we get to celebrate his birthday together and I already cannot imagine my life without him, he is my perfect complement, where I am weak he is strong, I just love him with my whole heart.

Happy Birthday Husband, I love you.
