We went to souplantation with Amanders again and we had so much salad I think we won't feel guilty if we have some junk food today haha (yes, I know that's not how it works). If you have never been to that restaurant you should try it. Not only is it affordable, but it is good and healthy.

Now we are getting ready for our church's Friends and Family weekend, it's going to be amazing. We partnered with WalMart and they are donating things people return so we can give them out for free to anybody in need, and Pizzicato in Bankers Hill donated pizza and salad for anybody that comes on Sunday. I am really excited to see what happens this weekend and how the church blesses the community. If you are in SD come and visit!

My beautiful, amazing, wonderful, wise mommy had her birthday today. My K and I filmed a Happy Birthday message and sent it to her. We really wish we lived closer to her so we could give her a big hug, but the videos will have to do for now.

Happy Birthday mommy!
We love you

Today hubby and had some fun together, we just spent the day dreaming and talking about the future and what we want to see happen in the next few months and few years. We rode bikes for 6 miles, got frustrated with each other as we both felt the other wasn't being cautious enough, got over it and kissed under a red light, it was very romantic. Also I wore the new Toms Shoes pool momma got me, she is so sweet, aren't the shoes cool?

Anyway off to 4 days of not seeing my husband all that much with his crazy 13 to 14 hour days, but happy we got to spend some good quality time yesterday and today.

We were trying to come up with a fun video to invite people to Urban's Community Groups and suddenly we ended up with a couch in front of a fountain doing a Friend's intro spoof. We jumped in the fountain and got soaked, and we didn't get in trouble =D. We had so much fun, I will upload the video as soon as we have it!

Erin with Jonathan and Natasha, our new friends visiting from Canada (doesn't she have the cutest pregnant belly). Kyle is in the back talking to Lauren and completely oblivious to the picture taking.

Yesterday was ArtWalk in Little Italy, over 250,000 people came to our neighborhood. Some of our friends came out with me to hand out free water bottles and talk to people. Our pastor's daughters decided to have a lemonade stand and sell 50 cent lemonade and chocolate chip cookies, it was so cute, they raised almost $80 for the Kids ministry of our church. K was working, so he missed on the fun, and even though I missed him, I had a great time. Hopefullly next year he'll be able to walk around ArtWalk with me!

So we have been a bit too busy this week therefore we have been slacking on the outfit pictures, this weekend we will take a few and we will catch up. I will however give you a chance to make a difference in a little boys life. Liam is a 6 year old boy with a neuromuscular disorder. His brave parents decided to organize a raffle to raise money so they can have a fully accessible bathroom for Liam.

If you have a chance go to their blog here and get yourself a couple raffle tickets. Let's make sure Liam gets the best bathroom ever imagined!

My K and I went to Crest Cafe a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and when we saw the soup of the day was apple brie soup we ordered a cup without hesitation. Like everything else there the soup was outstanding.

K works most Saturdays so we haven't gone in a while which prompted me to find the recipe and make the soup, no big deal right? wrong!
I googled the amazing soup and before you knew it I was grocery shopping, brie, apples, celery, onions, cumin, ginger, flour... I was going to make this soup happen and it was going to be awesome, a milestone in my cooking career!

So I started following the instructions, everything was going great, saute, mix, add flour, heat, whisk, puree, I was a Colombian Julia Child people, my cooking skills were going to revolutionize the culinary world and impress millions.

The last step was to throw the brie in the soup and let it melt, I did my job, and started mixing the brie but after a few minutes nothing was melting, it just looked odd and definitely not appetizing. I waited longer, waited a bit more and then waited for a few more minutes and the brie had not melted yet, so I started to feel like Jo again, Colombian Julia Child was slowly disappearing.

After a good 15 minutes I noticed the soup looked weird and smelled even weirder, so I turned off the heat and asked k to try it. Him being the lovely husband he is told me the soup was actually not that bad, but I see the disappointment and disgust in his face. So I tried the soup that made my mouth water at the sole thought of it and all the confidence in my cooking skills vanished as I realized I had burnt my creation, the soup sucked.

I'll try again, and I'll let you all know how the second shot at the apple brie soup goes. Wish me luck!

My dad sent me a sweet email yesterday with the most wonderful song. The song is in Spanish and it is just so beautiful. Jesus Adrian Romero is singing to his daughters and you can't help but cry every time you listen to it, I had to stop playing it.

LOVE YOU DADDY!

We had so much fun in Palm Springs with Maddie, Sophie Jo, their lovely parents and grandparents. What made it even more fun is the fact that the girls had a couple of friends with their mommies in town too, so we had a great time with baby Sophie (yeah we had two Sophie's) and baby Brooklyn playing dress up (even if some of the pictures say otherwise haha).

Aren't they adorable?

Aren't his shoes the coolest?

We try to look cute on Sundays for church, it's the perfect day to try new outfits and pull out the bright blue shoes. I had never worn that dress but I decided to try it out and it was fun, so I will b wearing it through the summer =D
