Baby # 2 - Week 14

Week 14

Like -  Lasagna
Dislike - The heat

So during week 13 our camera decided it was going to break, I was really sad when I realized it was simply not working. So we weren't able to get pictures of week 13, but during week 14 we figured it out! This few weeks were crazy with preparing for Antonella's birthday too, so that didn't help. I think we'll be fine as long as we have over 40 pictures at the end of the journey. 

I am still feeling quite tired, it is interesting to sit somewhere because as soon as I do I fall asleep. I think it'll all be better once i stop breastfeeding Antonella which might happen in the next few months.

San Diego has been feeling warmer and warmer and I am not looking forward to the warmest weeks which usually happen in the next few weeks. I know it'll be hard to maintain my nice-ness if I am too warm.

I have been feeling the baby here and there, sometimes it s very evident, sometimes it's just a soft touch. This baby moves a lot, maybe even more than the first baby. I love being able to feel the person who is inside of me. Caleb and I have been praying for this baby diligently, asking for God to give her favor all the days of her life, and a few other things. 

This week was truly so busy I forgot sometimes I was even pregnant. Oh man! 


Semana 14

Durante la semana 13 nuestra camara decidio que no iba a funcionar mas, fue triste cuando me di cuenta que no iba a tener camara. Entonces no tenemos fotos de la semana 13, pero durante la semana 14 no las ingeniamos! Estas ultimas semanas han sido de locos preparandonos para el cumpleaños de Antonella, y eso no ayudo tampoco con el lio de la camara. Pero yo creo que mientras tengamos al menos 40 fotos al final estamos bien.

Sigo sintiendome muy cansada, es interesante sentarme en algun lugar, por que en segundos me quedo dormida. Yo creo que el cansancio va a mejorar mucho una vez deje de darle leche a Antonella, lo que va a pasar en un par de meses.





San Diego ha estado canlentandose mas y mas, y no estoy emocionada por las semanas mas calientes del año que usualmente pasan en las siguientes semanas. Yo se que va a ser dificil ser buena gente si me estoy derritiendo.
 
Sigo sintiendo al bebe de vez en cuando, algunas veces es muy evidente, y aveces es pasito. Este bebe se mueve mucho, depronto mas que el primer bebe. Me encanta sentir a la personaita que esta dentro de mi. Caleb y yo hemos estado orando por el bebe, siempre sentimos que debemos orar por el favor de Dios todos los dias de su vida, y otras cosas mas. 

Esta semana estuvimos tan ocupados que aveces se me olvido que estaba embarazada.

Antonella week 52

Antonella is 1 year old, 52 weeks! It is crazy how fast it went and how much she has changed. She started pouting this week, like she knew she was on her way to toddler-hood. It is quite cute qhen she pouts but we are not falling for it, when we say no unfortunately it has to be no, sad, cute face and all.

She tried pork for the first time this week, she doesn't know the difference between one thng or the other, she just eats and eats and eats. Strawberries are a favorite fruit, she'll eat them until she is tired of moving. She also loves mandarins! She doesn't like bananas much, and things that have a similiar texture to bananas always end up on the floor. She eats smashed bananas mixed with pumpkin or sweet potatoes, I think it is more a texture problem than a taste one.

This week she met her cousin Ellie, and she was so sweet to her, she kept getting in her face to try to kiss her and hug her. At 4 months old Ellie wasn't amused, but she tolerated it haha. Antonella waved her balls in Ellie's face and showed some serious concern when Ellie cried, it was a nice sneak peak into our life in 6 months.

From now on we will be posting just pictures of adventure, no more Antonella weekly pictures, just belly shots and life adventures.

Feeding Giraffes

Last Friday we went to the Zoo with Pool Momma, Pool Poppa, Josh, Brooke and Ellie. We did the behind the scenes tour with them and we got a chance to feed turtle and giraffes, Antonella was having a blast!

Sometimes I forget God is so good to me. I look at the small things that seem to not fall into place and I think "where is God?" and then I see pictures of all the wonderful things we get to do, all the blessings He chooses to give us, and I feel like an ungrateful child. My Father is one that spoils me, and I complain.

Thank you Lord for blessing me with amazing family, and a fun, caring husband, a baby that enjoys every second of life and is curious to learn more and more, fun trips to the zoo and all the other details you take care of that I sometimes take for granted.

Antonella Week 51

 

This week Antonella started saying "papa" clearly instead of "dada", it's probably her favorite word. She also says "ball" as she walks around with a ball in each hand, and has started saying "no" more and more. I think she thinks no is a joke because she laughs every time she says it and shakes her head.

Her hair is more curly now, and it tangles in the back sometimes. I love seeing her curls around her ears, they are just cute. I don't know if I had mentioned it before but she fakes laugh and then laughs at her fake laugh, it is quite endearing.

She is officially able to get off the bed without getting hurt, and she gets on and off the couch easily. It is an interesting life now when chasing includes higher surfaces. 

Balls are her favorite toys, and cars are a close second. She thinks having us smell her stinky feet is the funniest thing, and she likes to run towards people and when she is close enough she runs away from them, she likes to tease them haha.

I don't know how it is August already, how did this happen? why does time keep flying? I still need to catch up! There seriously needs to be a pause button so I can finish things I need to finish and then start with everything up to date. Wouldn't that be nice? 

July was a good month, lots of Antonella, lots of birthday planning, lots of balls, and our first firework show as a family of 3 (well technically 4 =D).

Pool Time

 

Antonella really loves going to the pool, so we try to make a trip to it as often as we can. This week we made our way there and she had a blast playing with her tennis balls in the pool. She doesn't leave those tennis balls anywhere for anything, they are her current favorite toy. Isn't she adorable? I just can't have enough of her, more so if she is with her dad being cute. Those two, too much!

Baby # 2 - Week 12

This week the nausea remained and being tired is back in full swing. It was an interesting week of random cravings, I woke up at midnight one night with a desperate need to have lasagna, I have never felt such a weird obsession, I seriously considered letting Caleb go to the store to try to get me some, but I wanted real lasagna so the frozen stuff wouldn't have made it. Then a couple nights after that I woke up and wanted a nice piece of steak, again this was around midnight so Caleb brought me some water and we just laughed. 

Sleep has been evading me which might explain why I am tired. It's been mostly due to sciatica pain, but I also think I've been worrying about things and that doesn't help. The back of my wrists has a rash that usually comes when I am stressed. I don't know exactly what I am stressed about so I just need to relax! 

My belly is coming out already, crazy how I have started to show a little so early. If I am wearing normal clothes you can't really tell, but with this white dress you can. My clothes all fit pretty much the same, except for the jeans that were too big a few months ago, those have started to fit again, which is nice. I am hoping I won't need to buy maternity clothes this time around either, but I'll be in my third trimester in the winter so we'll see.

Esta semana las nauseas continuaron y el cansancio volvio con todo su fuerza jaja. Ha sido una semana interesante de antojos extraños; una noche de esta semana me desperte a la media noche con un antojo desesperado de lasagna, era como una obsesion, tanto que considere dejar que Caleb fuera a la tienda a traerme lasagna, pero yo queria lasagna de verdad, no las lasagnas congeladas entonces asi el hubiese ido no me habria ayudado. Otra noche me desperte con antojos de carne, mas o menos a media noche tambien, Caleb me trajo agua y nos reimos un rato de los antojos extraños de media noche. 

No he podido dormir muy bien, lo que puede explicar porque estoy cansada. Mas que todo es por el dolor de la ciatica, pero tambien porque me estado preocupando por cosas, eso no ayuda. Me esta saliendo un salpullido en las muñecas que siempre me sale cuando estoy estresada. No se porque estoy estresada exactamente entonces tengo que relajarme y ya.

My barriga esta creciendo y saliendo in poco. Es increible como ha empezado a salir tan temprano. Si estoy usando ropa normal no se nota, pero con ese vestio blanco se ve. La ropa todavia me queda bien, hay un par de jeans que me quedaban grandes que me estan empezando a quedar bien entonces eso es bueno. Estoy esperando que con este embarazo tampoco me toque comprar ropa de materniad, pero el tercer trimestre va a ser en el invierno entonces vamos a ver.

Antonella week 50

Antonella week 50

Just two weeks and my baby will be a year old. I still cannot believe she is 1, I feel like i just got her yesterday, and yet I feel like she has always been here.

This week Antonella had a small little accident, she fell playing with her beloved tennis balls in the tenns court and scraped her knee and nose. I wasn't there, Cale said she didn't cry all that much because she was concerned about the balls and how far they had gone (she was kicking them, stepped on one and fell, the ball rolled away). When they got home her nose was pretty red but we didn't think it was bad. Then she woke up the next morning with a scab. It's kind of sad but cute too haha. She a tough baby. 

Antonella keeps thriving when inside her schedule. We still put her down at 10am for her first nap, she sleeps until 1145-12pm. Then we put her down again at 330pm-4pm and she sleeps until 5-530pm. Her bedtime is 8pm which means she ends up falling asleep around 815-830pm and she wakes up between 6am-7am every morning. It's great knowing we have those windows with her so we can plan ahead of time. The only hard days are Sundays because we are at church from 815am-1245pm and she doesn't nap well when surrounded by other children she could play with. We usually take her home and she falls asleep before we arrive, we move her to her crib and she takes a 90 minute nap, but then her second nap is too close, so she just gets cranky around 530pm and we take her on a walk until 730. 

It's crazy having her on a sleeping schedule and a feeding schedule (she eats at the same times every day), I feel like I am super rigid and strict about it, but quite frankly she thrives in that schedule, and I am able to organize my life. We'll see how a second baby is going to mess this whole thing up and make it fun haha.

Baby # 2 - Week 11

Week 11

Like -  Just a whole bunch of random cravings everyday
Dislike - People, terrible I know, but true.

Week 11 was fun, I am less tired than before, still feeling nausea though. The tooth brush problem I had being pregnant with Antonella is back with this little one. Every time I brush my teeth I end up gagging, Caleb laughs, and I just breathe and pray I won't throw up haha.

Most of the time the nausea leaves in the early afternoon and doesn't come back until morning, so it hasn't been really all that bad. 

I had a dream I had two baby girls and went back to the hospital to return one of them because two babies were too much, I woke up and told Caleb, he laughed at me and then freaked out at the thought of having another girl. He's happy to have a girl, but dads are always nervous to have little girls, it's funny. 

My sciatica pain never fully left after I had Antonella but has gotten increasingly worse since I got pregnant again. It is mostly a nigh time ailment, sometimes it wakes me up, but thankfully Caleb's massages help with it, so we'll keep trying the massages and hoping the pain stays controlled. .

Antojos - Tengo una cantidad de antojos raros todo el tiempo
No me gusta - La gente, yo se terrible, pero asi es =/


La semana 11 fue divertida. Estoy menos cansada, pero seguimos con nauseas. El problem que tenia con Antonella y el cepillo de dientes volvio con este bebE. Cada vez que me lavo los dientes termino con ganas de vomitar, caleb se rie, y yo empeizo a respirar despacio y a orar que no voy a vomitar jaja. 

La mayoria del tiempo las nauseas se van en en la tarde y no regresan hasta el otro dia en la mañana, entonces no es tan terrible.

Tuve un sueño que habia tenido dos hijas, y me deolvia al hospital a darles una de las dos de vuelta porque dos era demasiado jaja, apenas me desperte le conte a Caleb. El se rio un rato y despues empezo a asustarse con la idea de tener mas hijas jaja, no es que no quiera tener hijas, es que los papas son raros con las niñas, es chistoso. 

El dolor de mi ciatica nunca se fue despues de que tuve a Antonella, pero desde que quede embarazada ha sido peor y peor. La mayoria del tiempo solo me molesta de noche y afortunadamente los masajes de Caleb ayudan, entonces vamos a seguir intentando los masajes y esperando que el dolor se vaya.

Antonella week 49

 





Antonella week 49
 
Antonella keeps growing by the hour and making me laugh with all her amazing faces, smiles, melt downs, words (all 5, mama, dada, bye, hi, cha -which means chao-), games, kisses that hurt, and just self. 

She has been eating a lot lately, generally she will have a puree of vegetables mixed with a fruit and then she will share with me whatever I am eating. She loves rice and eggs, and she loves turkey and of course cheerios. 

We are planning her birthday party and most all decorations are taken care of, we are just going to need to figure out the food. I am really excited about celebrating her first year with friends and seeing her eat some cake. I still cannot believe she is going to be 1 in just a few weeks.
