As most of you know Urban Church had to deal with a fire that was ruled as arson about 4 weeks ago. It has been quite the interesting few weeks making sure we keep on doing ministry regardless of what we are missing and the emotional weight of dealing with losing 80% of our equipment, plus knowing someone set everything on fire. We are so grateful nobody got hurt, all the stuff we lost can be replaced, and most importantly the Kingdom of God will move forward through Urban Church in spite of fires, rain, opposition, whatever.

We have gotten creative and we are meeting now at the San Diego Unified School District Offices Auditorium. The fact that we found a place to meet 500 yards from our previous location and within days of the fire is a miracle in itself.

It has been amazing to see our church come together and carry the weight of ministry together. Most people don't realize how much work a church is, most people don't get the privilege of seeing the ins and outs of church life. It is easy to come Sunday at 1030am and leave at 1230am and think 'wow that was great!' but church is so much more than just two hours on your schedule. I think the members of Urban were able to see that through this last few weeks of prayer, trusting, faith and community.

On February 26th we are celebrating 3 years of ministry and we are excited to come together to celebrate a year of lives transformed, of steps of faith, of new believers, of sad goodbyes and exciting opportunities.

If you are in San Diego come celebrate with us, it's been a good journey.

Week 14

Weight +2 Pounds
Waist +3 Inches
Cravings: I am honestly going to drive to LA for some Colombian food!
Dislikes: Nothing in particular

So this past week was long, very, very, very, very long. Caleb and I were taking a class at PLNU which meant we had to be there at 745am and we weren't leaving until about 6pm give or take. We still had lots of things to do for Urban and then Thursday after Community Group we were driving to Anaheim to meet our family and spend Friday and Saturday in Disneyland.

I was tired, but honestly not anymore tired than I would have been if I wasn't pregnant. I think my baby and I are getting used to being together and having a busy schedule.

I am still throwing up but not nearly as often as before. Nausea is still there as well, specially at night, but thankfully I can just lay down when it comes and that helps. We also discovered that cry baby gum helps me with the nausea so I've been chewing sour gum.

I am loving this process, the other night I felt bubbles in my tummy, but I am not sure it was the baby or some sort of weird gas or something. We have a doctors appointment Thursday 2.16 and we will be excited to hear about our progress and maybe make the appointment to figure out the sex of the baby!

Semana 14

Peso+2 Libras
Cintura +3 Pulgadas

San Diego finally remembered it was winter! We have had a little bit of rain and weather on the 60's ha. We are loving the ability to wear beanies and rain boots an coats and flannel. Most of all we love that our phones say it will go back up to 75F in a couple of days. California living is rough!

Ps. My husband is HOOOT!

I am not a wonderful cook. I have however, managed to master a couple of things. Turkey taco meat is one of them.

We had a Mexican night last week and I cooked my turkey taco meat, it was lovely! I am now officially craving some of it.

I am not a big fan of blood. It makes me really really uncomfortable. The last dozen times my blood has been drawn I've fainted, which is no fun. So when the midwife told me she needed blood samples (which I kind of suspected was something she would ask for), I was not looking forward to the visit to the laboratory.

7 tubes full of the horrible red liquid and I sat there, breathing slowly and talking to K while I felt like there wasn't going to be any passing out. He was being silly, and funny, and serious, and trying everything to keep me entertained.  I did throw up afterward but I am proud to say I didn't faint.

Week 13

Weight +2 Pounds
Waist +3 Inches
Cravings: Still Colombian food
Dislikes: Water, warm or less than frozen water.

This past week was pretty uneventful as far as pregnancy goes. Still throwing up, still nauseous, still tired. But honestly it is definitely manageable. I did discover this week that water makes me throw up, which is why I haven't been drinking as much water as I should. If the water is completely cold, like almost frozen cold I can drink it, but any other temperature sends me straight to the toilet.

My hair is incredibly dry and ugly looking so I am going to get a haircut and see if maybe that helps. I'll try some treatments some ladies have mentioned to me. My skin is weird too, I break out and then I clear up and then I break out. This baby is surely messing with my hormones, which I absolutely don't mind as long as he/she is growing healthy and getting all the nutrients he/she needs.
Today I found out I have to be in school August 6th through the 9th. My due date is on the 5th, so please pray the baby is not born on the due date but instead a couple weeks before or a week late.

Caleb and I have started playing classical music for the baby, we know he/she can't hear anything yet but we figured that's ok, maybe the relaxed stated of mind the music causes will cause a positive effect on the baby. Caleb has also been talking to the baby a lot more, he tells stories about us, and details about the kind of life we want to provide for him/her, he talks about God and how our greatest desire is that our children will serve Him every day of their lives. I love listening to Caleb talk to my belly, I fall in love more and more with him with every word he shares with our baby. He is such an incredible husband, I am excited for his children to experience how amazing he is.

Here we go week 14, the goal for this week is to up my water intake again, hopefully without causing any gagging.

Semana 13

Peso +2 Libras
Cintura +3 Pulgadas
Antojos: Todavia Comida Colombiana!
Me disguta: Agua, agua tibia o realmente a cualquier temperatura q no sea helada.

Our sister and borther hadn't been on a proper date since Titus was born in September so while we were up there we offered to babysit so they could go out. Isn't Angie gorgeous?

We got pizza for the girls and they enjoyed it, after we watched Narnia and went to bed while Titus played and hung out around us (not being allowed t watch TV yet he was facing Caleb the whole time). We had a great time and we heard the Button parents did too.

The one on the right is my sister assisting her first surgery ever.  She is amazing and I am so incredibly proud of her. I would be passed out on the floor or crying in a corner if I was her, but she looks so confident. Go Maff Go!

While In WA we took the ferry to Whidbey Island. I had never in such a big ferry, it was pretty fun. We met a friend of the Luehmann family that lives on the island and I heard stories of Caleb's childhood over an amazing lunch. I really loved how calm it was, a perfect vacation spot.

I have this app, Project 365, that encourages you to upload a picture a day for a year. I started about 10 months ago but I decided that I will share them here during 2012, so here is January

January was a month of trips, family, friends, blessings, and husband... it always is the month is husband, he's just the best.
