Isn't it fun to make new friends? Isn't it even more fun to cook and eat with those new friends? Fajitas at the Moon's with the Smith's was exactly that, new friends, cooking and laughing over crazy honeymoon stories.

We feel so incredibly blessed to met such amazing people, not only are these couples fun, they are passionate about their marriage and God's plans for them, and that is not something you find often. Dinner was lovely and we can't wait to do it again!

Basketball

Urban's is doing great this season, their basketball team has just gotten better and better. Last game they won to the best team in the league and that put them as the best team in the league.

Kebabs

K and I had a gift certificate to The Kebab Shop in downtown San Diego and since he's been obsessed with a good kebab since we visited Turkey we decided to try it and give our verdict. We loved it, it's fresh, and tasty, and just all around delicious. The price was great and we walked around after, it was a nice, laid back date.

Happy Birthday Pichu

My little brother turned 16 today... sigh, I can't believe he's so grown up. 

I remember the day he was born, he was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen, he was perfect and looked nothing like my sister or me, the punk. He used to interlock his little hands together and smile at my sister and I all the time, Mom wouldn't leave him with us but she let us sleep in his room once he was moved there, we liked it for about two nights and then we left him because he woke us up constantly. I love my brother so much, he's a gentle, smart, talented boy/man. He plays the bass guitar in a band and tends to be the main show at all school events, girls love him since he not only acts like a rock start, but also is as handsome as the few really handsome rock stars. 

I pray for him every day, I pray he'll grow in wisdom as fast as he's grown in stature. I pray he will love the Lord with his entire heart one day, and his desire will be to worship Him only. I pray for his wife, the amazing Godly woman she is, I pray for protection over her, her heart, and that somehow both her and my brother will be aware of each other every day even though they might not even know each other yet. I pray for his friends, I believe he will become an influence in the lives of those who don't know God yet, and he will surround himself with strong men of God whose desire is to follow in the Lord's steps. I pray he will love me forever and remember my voice even though he doesn't get to see me every day. 

I love you Wishon, you are the best baby brother and I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for you this year.

Coronado Beach

 

We spent some time at the beach on our day off with a couple friends, it was lovely, even though my husband ended up with burnt calves.

Happy Birthday Naomi

Naomi is our pastor's mom, the church's mom, a teacher at USM, one of the staff members at church and a wonderful gal altogether.

She turned 75 and since she was going to be out of town for her birthday Pastor Ben thought we should surprise her with a birthday party that she thought was just a family dinner (family dinner is a meal and hangout time we have for people at the church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, it's a Community Group and it's so fun). So we did, and we had it at our place.

She was really surprised and we all had a great time BBQ'ing and chatting. There were so many people at our place, it was crazy considering we have a hobbit sized house, but it all worked great and we all got to celebrate Naomi together. 

USM

My husband had been taking classes at USM and he finished all his classes and did wonderfully so last week at church he got his certificate along with a few other students that hadn't gotten it. I am so proud of him and he loves learning all the things he's learning. Way to go guys, and way to go Husband!

Damian's Birthday

Our friend Lluvia has two adorable kids; Damian and Daphne. You all met Daphne here and now we were celebrating Damian's birthday so you get to see more of the family. They are a beautiful family an Lluvia is a wonderful, strong, mom. We are so blessed to have met them and we love seeing what God has done in their lives, little Daphne is literally a miracle baby and Lluvia's story is an amazing story of love and redemption, and God has just started.

We love you guys!!

She is 2!

Today our niece Sophie turns two!! Angie was pregnant with Soph when we got married and our first trip as a married couple was to meet Sophie in Washington. Now she is 2 years old and getting ready to welcome a baby brother and become the middle child. 

This picture was taken this morning when Sophie woke up, we were on the phone with Maddie and when her baby sister woke up we all sang together. Happy Birthday beautiful niece, we can't wait to see you again!

Cowles Mountain

 

We went on a hike to cowles mountain last week with a few friends from Urban Church, such a great hike, you can see the whole county it's beautiful. We think we might be hiking again soon and I don't even like hiking!
