The family and I went shopping and right after we were so hungry we ate a bit too much. So to fix the problem we decided to take a nice walk to Hillcrest. The day was beautiful and my cousin Kristian and brother Wilson decided to get grass shots at Jamba Juice half way there, which made them feel even more full... boys!
I love having my family in town.

We spent the whole day in LA having fun and visiting landmarks. I love my family, I am so happy they are here. It will be a fun month!

Today was our official 1 year anniversary and we had a busy day ahead of us. In the morning we went to church to help set up for First Sunday, right after we drove to Laguna were we had at 230, a restaurant that had been reccomended to us many many times (and for a good reason the food was wonderful). We walked around Laguna and had a wonderful time together.

After spending some time in Laguna we went to LA to pick up my sister (not in pictures today at her own request), my brother and my cousin. They flew in from Colombia today, they are going to be with us for a little bit less than a mont and we are super excited to spend time with them. We went to dinner at in-n-out, went back to the hotel, watched a movie and relaxed for the rest of the night. It was such a fun day. I really do love my life!

It's the time of the year when kids get to show their parents and everyone else that loves them what they have been working on for the last few months. Cara an Faith had their ballet performance today and it was truly amazing, they are such graceful, beautiful little girls. I really can't wait to see my kids perform and look adorable in their costumes, it's just so much fun!

Bishop and husband are just adorable, aren't they?

For some odd reason I have no good pictures of Hannah, Bishop's sister, in all of the ones she is in she's making a weird face or someone has an arm in front of her =/. I'll have to snap some this Saturday at church because she really adds to this beautiful bunch!

K and I went to UDA's performing arts night. There were 5 kids performing that we know and love so it was a blast to be there and cheer on them. They all did such a wonderful job, we were really glad we were able to be there.

Isn't it crazy how tan and beautiful California kids are? I can't wait to meet mine.... I mean I can but I can't you know!

After the performance we went for a burrito with Alayna, and just because you can never miss an opportunity to dance we danced on the street and Alayna snapped pictures. Such a fun time!

Last year K and I were in Colombia getting ready for our wedding. Lots of running around, lots of meeting; the florist, the musicians for the ceremony, the musicians for the reception, the food tasting (that was the best!), the cake, the dresses for everybody in the wedding, the bouquet, the hotel, the makeup test, the hair test, the rehearsal dinner, the translator, the spa for the day off (it's tradition in Colombia to spend the day at the spa before the wedding, that was nice), the list goes on and on... It was so hectic and so much fun, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

We got married on 6/6/09, but that is on Sunday and my sister, brother and cousin are flying into LA that day so we decided to start the celebration yesterday with dinner in La Jolla (were we went the day he proposed), and continue the celebration all the way through Sunday! It all started with tulips and chocolates after K got home, I was completely surprised!

After praying and having a great conversation we headed to La Jolla for late lunch or early dinner, it was 5pm. We went to a small restaurant that has a wonderful view, in the picture K was trying to steal my food, don't mess with Colombian people's food!

It was a great meal with a great view, we talked about our favorite times and spent our dinner reminiscing. It has been such a wonderful year

After dinner we walked around La Jolla, asked strangers to take pictures and sat by the ocean to look at the sunset. I love my life!

With Tim

Happy Faces

For Memorial day K and I had tons of options, that's what happens when you have great friends and live at a vacation spot. So we decided to do most of them. Our day started with brunch at Crest Cafe with Tim, one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet.

After our late brunch we headed over to north county to hang out by the pool of one of Cody, one of Caleb's favorite people (I like him too but K really really loves him). We were there with the Brinkman's and the Miller's which equates to tons of kiddos and lots of fun. We got a nice tan, had great homemade chocolate pie, played yahtzee and had fun with the kids.

On our way home we stopped at Marshall's to look for Charlie's cousin for our friend Tranica but failed, so we headed over to what everyone calls the boys house (2 bedroom apartment were in the last 2 years 9 guys have stopped by and lived in for some time) and sang happy birthday to our friend Dan. Tons of things, tons of fun!
