Baby L # 2 - Week 37

Emi is moving more and more, she goes up the stairs quick, and is learning how to go down them, she can only go down one or two right now. She still loves food, it's crazy how excited she gets about it, and she still loves snuggles, kisses, and love. I can't even handle her most of the time, I just want to squish her and kiss her non-stop. She has such a sweet and loving personality, it's crazy.

Baby L #2 - Week 36

My little happy baby. She has her two front teeth coming and still is happy as a clam. Loves bath time even when Antonella is ready to attack her with water and hugs and dangerous pats on the head. Still standing all the time and walking while holding onto objects. She really does love to snuggle and in the morning when she wakes up Caleb moves her to our bed, she nurses and then she just stares at me and plays with my face for 20-30 minutes.

She says mama and papa clearly. And she DOES NOT like it when I leave the room. The nursery at church is no fun right now because of separation anxiety. Thank goodness the nursery volunteers are amazing.

Ant is still learning how to love on her sister.

Baby L #2 - Week 35

Emi keeps growing faster and faster. She stands all the time and without effort, but hasn't started taking steps quite yet. She is sleeping beautifully, and continues on her schedule of two naps and a 9-10 hr night. She loves loves loves food, all kinds of food, and whatever she finds goes to her mouth. All eyes on her!

Baby L #2 - Week 34

Emi is amazing. She really is. She learned to crawl up two stairs this week, only problem is she ends up stuck there because she doesn't know how to get down, she may have fallen a couple times. She loves being outside and exploring everything. We started giving her mums (rice crackers for babies) and she loves them. Her top two front teeth are still peeking but not quite out yet. She laughs about everything, Ant is super funny to her, I am funny to her, dad is funny to her, life is funny to her, everything is just so enjoyable for her.

Big development this week she stood without assistance, she was standing there for about 6 seconds and then fell, but she stood without assistance!!! CRAZY. 

Baby L #2 - Week 33

 My Emi is doing great, she had a top middle tooth coming out, you can see it but it hasn't broken through yet, she is mostly ok with just teething tablets

...and guess who joined us this week? My perfect, amazing, beautiful nephew Lucas!!! Emi is very curious about him and stares at him and wants to touch his face. Ant is the most gentle with him, it's kind of odd since she isn't gentle with anybody/thing else haha.

Baby L # 2 - Week 32

Emi is such a joy, I honestly can't get enough of her giggles and incessant calls for dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadada. Lately she has been experiencing some attachment problems, she has always been a cuddler and has always loved lots of touch from me in particular; but in the last few weeks and days there is an obsession for me, she wants me to hold her ALL the time and if somebody else has her she cries until I pick her up. We are working through it and she is toughening up a little at a day.

Food is still delicious to her, she loves everything we have tried, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots are still a favorite, and she really really enjoys gumming on frozen bell peppers.

She says dada, papa and mama.

We went to the pumpkin patch and had such a fun time. The girls are fun, they really just bring joy everywhere we go. I am loving being a mom so very much, I never imagined it would be so incredibly amazing. There are days that are challenging and I remember how time goes by so very quickly and try to laugh a little and not sweat the small stuff. 

Baby L #2 - Week 31

Emi had a rough week. She has decided that unless she is held she isn't happy, so week 31 consisted of Emi not being held so she learns to soothe herself and be happy playing with toys, her sister, or whatever she may find. That meant Emi cried a lot during week 31. For no reason, she just cried because she wasn't being held. Which is silly, and it's really hard for me, but i am trying to teach her she's ok crawling and exploring. As I am typing this she is standing but the couch holding unto my leg crying.

She also has been sleeping a lot better which is lovely. She is a pro-crawler and get places with ease. She decided to grab a small table we have and it fell on her. The problem was that the laptop was on the table and apparently it was hot enough to burn her sensitive skin. So she has a mark on her cheek and I feel horrible every time I look at her. She can stand using just one hand for balance and she has been saying dada more and more.

Her raspy voice is still a thing and she loves when people are looking at her and talking directly at her. She takes two naps during the day, usually around 10am and 3pm; the morning nap is 2 to 2.5 hours long, the afternoon one is 1.5 to 2 hours long.

Emi is one fun baby. And she's done crying. She is now playing with her toys on the floor. This kid!

Baby L #2 - Week 30

7 Months today!

Emi scoots, stands, says dada, doesn't sleep through the night anymore and wakes once. She is going through a little bit of separation anxiety and wants me to hold her if I am around, but once she gets over it she crawls and moves all over and plays. She doesn't like being left alone in a room, loves showers and baths and kisses. She really likes to snuggle and sleeps a lot better if someone is close by, but we refuse to co-sleep =). 

She makes funny noises and imitates some things we do, like tapping tables, or certain noises. She reaches for me every time she sees me, and she loves loves loves sweet potatoes and carrots. We mix her favorite orange foods with green beans and peas and get her to eat some greens.

Antonella accidentally gave her rice milk and she also got a hold of a water bottle and drank a bit. She didn't seem to be bothered by either, at least not as much as I was haha.

She is pretty fun and happy and easygoing and I love what she adds to our little family.

Baby L #2 - Week 29

Somebody got earrings. On Sat the 20th we went to get her earrings pierced and it was sad for me but Emi got over it super quick. She's amazing. Also she has been getting up. She will crawl up to a couch or chair and pull herself up. She is nuts.

Baby L #2 - Week 28

Somebody has been going to the pool a lot, and she loves loves loves it. We came to visit lela (grandma in Spanish is Abuela but Ant can't say it, so now we call them lela and lelo) in Palm Springs and Emi was having the time of her life at the warm pool. She love toys that are bright, the noise plastic bags make and paper wrinkling noises.
