Behind the scenes at the Zoo

 

While the family was here, we took a trip to the zoo and Pool Mooma being the genius she is, decided to get a behind the scenes tour; it was fantastic. Not only were we sitting down in a cart being hauled everywhere (which with 4 kids was the best idea), but we also got to see the animals real close. It was so much fun, not sure walking the zoo will ever be the same.

Cousins

 

Even though Antonella's dark hair make it seem like these 4 cuties aren't related, they are!! 

Antonella finally met her cousins, my sister in law Angie came to San Diego with my nieces and nephew and Poppa and Momma. I love these kids, and it's crazy how much they change between visits. I know A will have the best of times with them as they grow up and I feel so blessed she has such wonderful cousins, aunts and uncles (cousin #5 is on thw way too woo hoo!!). 

Both Maddie and Sophie couldn't get enough of her, they will be the best older cousins. Titus is closer in age to her, they'll be best friends. So fun. 

 

Happy Birthday Tranics

 

Tranics' birthday came back,  and this year she celebrated with fiancée and future mother in law. We had a chance to have lunch in Pacific Beach with her at Tower 23 and we had the best time. 

We are so excited for all this new year will bring Tranica, can't wait to blog about her next birthday.

Antonella Week 9

This week Miss Antonella and I didn't see each other as much as we do as I was in school every day for long long hours. I started using my pump and she started using a bottle and being fed by dad. It was a big deal and very very exciting for both dad and baby.

I was a little concerned she would like the bottle more than, well, me; but it turns out she goes from one to the other without problem. It was so easy I feel really blessed.

She also laughed really excitedly for the first time this week, all over loud clapping, it was so much fun!

L`Auberge

 

Last Monday Caleb took us girls on a day date. We went to Del Mar and enjoyed lunch at  L`Auberge. It was such a wonderful time. It was the first family date and my husband couldn't have planned it better. After lunch we took a short walk around the area and we just enjoyed being together and living in such a beautiful place. 

Can't wait for our next date.

Jess' bridal shower

 

 My friend Jess got married this past week (and pictures of the wedding will come soon), so I decided to have a little get together as a bridal shower for her. All the ladies helped to put it together and we had such a great time. Jess received a lot of gifts which might have embarrassed her a little, but they provided entertainment for the rest of us. I am excited for her and Bert, her fiancee, and we are believing God will use their marriage in amazing ways.

Baby gym

My daughter loves playing in her gym, she stays there for 20 minutes at a time and just talks to all the entertainment she has. I love seeing her there, she seems so grown up and human like. I know she is a human, but she is a baby, and playing there she just doesn't look like a baby. Thank you pool momma for the gym, your granddaughter cannot have enough of it.

Brunch with friends

 

Last Saturday Antonella and I went to brunch with Mayra and Kitzya in Pacific Beach at Isabel's cantina. We had a great time eating and chatting and just being girls. 

These girls are amazing, they are encouraging, devoted to their husbands and to God and just beautiful inside and out. We had quite the candid conversation on marriage, and child bearing, and life. I am so blessed I have people in my life I can talk to and be completely honest with, friendships are not possible without honesty. 

Ladies let's make sure we get together again soon, there is planning to do!

Baby in bed

 

Sunday mornings Caleb and I wake up very early, Antonella is always asleep as we are getting ready and that's perfect because we get ready with time and have a chance to pray together before church. Well we have started to move her into our bed around 530am when she wakes up to eat and we just leave her there as we aren't going back to bed. She looks so cute and small in the bed, even though she spreads as wide as she can, she barely takes any space. 

I love having her in our bed, and I love that it is a Sunday occurence, the Luehmanns weren't built to co-sleep haha.

Antonella Week 8

 

Antonella seems to be growing by the second. 

This week Antonella started fake coughing a little, if we imitate her doing it she smiles really big and does it again. We keep trying to get it on video but we haven't been able to because she stops as soon as we pull out the camera. She is such a sweet baby, she is always smiling and talking. 

She also skipped a few afternoon naps which made for a little bit of crankiness at night, she just had a hard time napping when there is stuff going on around her, she wants to know what's happening. 

We fall in love with her more and more everyday, I don't know how that's possible but our hearts just grow daily and she fills all the space in them.
