At the doctor's office

I had my 6 weeks doctor's appointment during week 7. It was fun to see all the nurses and midwives and doctors and have them meet my daughter.

I am doing really well and I was cleared to start working out which is really exciting. We'll see how the weight loss goes now that I can work out, hopefully fast ha.

Late nights

 

When Caleb and I were pregnant we decided that Antonella was going to adjust to us more than we were going to adjust to her, at least as much as that was possible. Well because of that agreement she ends up going with us to prayer meetings and Community Groups and staff meetings and all kinds of things. Sometimes it gets late and she's out with us, so we put her in pajamas and keep going, but not without having some fun with her.

FaceTime with grandpa

 

My dad spent an hr with Antonella on the phone, an entire hour talking to a baby and he could have gone longer but it was time for bed. I love to see how much he loves her and how much he wants her to know her and love him too.

We'll keep communicating through facetime dad, that is until God answers my prayers and moves you guys to San Diego =)

A big couch and a small baby

 

Sometimes I think my baby is soooo big, because I remember her when she first came out of my belly, and she has grown so much since, but then I see her sitting on a big red couch and I remember she isn't even 2 months yet, she is a small small little person. 

Isn't she the cutest? I love her.

Antonella week 7

 

Week 7 was a big week for Antonella. She started wearing older clothes, her shorts are 3 months and a little big still but whatever and she started to interact more during facetime with family (pics coming soon).  

We miss our family all over, it's hard to be away from everybody but technology does help a bit. 

Amanda left us

Our good friend Amanda has always loved country music, and God blessed her with an amazing voice and talent. Since we moved to San Diego she has been dreaming of going to Nashville to pursue a career in the music industry and eventhough we are so happy that day came we are also very sad she left us. 

Last Sunday at church we prayed for her, and we had cake (which the amazing Jess made). We celebrated Amanders and everything she did for us. 

We are praying for you Amanders and we are excited to hear of all the amazing adventures you get to go on. Love you!

Vaccines are sad

 

So Antonella got her first set of shots and she cried, and she was soooo very sad afterwards She got them last Thursday (9.27.12). Caleb and I didn't cry but it was because everyone had told us it was horrible and we were expecting it to last much much longer than it did. We wanted to hold her and make her feel better afterwards though, she was so upset. 

We love her pediatrician and all the nurses there, everyone is awesome and helpful and sweet. She now weighs 9lb and 12oz, she is a big girl! We don't go back until she is 4 months so we asked a lot of questions and got some funny looks but that's ok.

Antonella week 6

Catching up here. Antonella's sixth week was fabulous. We were back home and trying to get back on a schedule and she adjusted perfectly. She continues to sleep long stretches at night, anywhere between 4.5 - 6.5 hours followed by another stretch of 3.5 - 4.5 hours and it is amazing. I wake up during those stretches just to check on her and because every noise she makes wakes me up, but it's ok.

She makes this awesome noise after she sneezes, like a relief sigh, it's so adorable but every time we try to catch it on video she doesn't do it ha. Same with her cooing, catching it on video hasn't been so easy. She also started using her baby gym more consistently, 20-30 minutes in the morning and 15-20 in the afternoon. She really enjoys the gym and I love seeing her in it so it's a fun activity.

She started to wear 0-3 months clothes, they are a bit big on her but she can wear them now. Her newborn clothes still fit but they are getting tight. Still on newborn diapers though, but I think once we run out of those we will start wearing size 1 diapers .

September in pictures

 

September was a fun and crazy month. From introducing Antonella to our busy and fun lives to traveling with a month old overseas, the entire month was full of activities. It also included my birthday and lots and lots of family time. We loved it, September was an amazing month.
