Bucks - Clippers

John Coffey is happy now!

K and I went to LA yesterday right after work to see the Bucks play, K's good friend got him tickets and we wouldn't miss a chance to say hi to him. We had such a great time, and we wore green for the Bucks and St. Patrick's day.
I have never liked LA but every time I go with my K it doesn't seem as bad as I think it is.

One year ago today I said YES!

Coronado Island

There is a military base really close by so you get to see all the choppers and cool airplanes.

A year ago today husband got on one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life as his partner, and I said YES YES YES an a thousand times YES. So to celebrate we went to Coronado Island, had a little picnic and got a nice tan... ok K got a tan, I covered myself in SPF 50 and wore a hat. We had a great time.

San Diego's weather makes us smile

Old Town

The thing we love the most about San Diego is how every single neighborhood is so different from the next. Old Toqn really feels like a mexican little town right in the middle of San Diego. We went with our pastors, our friends Cody and Jonathan (in the pictures) and had lunch at Cafe Coyote... honestly the food was out of this world, the freshly made tortillas are phenomenal!!!

Oh San Diego you are so beautiful, fun and so full of possibilities.

Urban Kids

Today we had a meeting before church for Urban Kids it was a lot of fun, we got to play musical chairs and do a little craft. Afterwards K and I felt like we had to go to the playground and have a little fun... why don't we go more often?

Bunny Bash

Our church Urban is throwing a bunny bash on Easter. We actually get a huge bunny piñata and let the kids bash the bunny. Last year's was a lot of fun, and I think this year will be even better. But my blog is more about the fact that I actually created the postcard for the event with help from my very talented friend Matt; he is the same friend who helped us design our thank you cards, my wedding invitation, and our save the date isn't he awesome?.

I think the bunny bash postcard turned out pretty good, it has been a while since I've done any graphics for church, I had forgotten how exciting it can be.

Ps. If you are in the San Diego area you need to make it out to Urban on Easter, we'll have fun!

Finally, my first step to fulfilling my promise to "mi familia"

I have been married to the most amazing woman for the past nine months!!!! I am so very blessed that God gave me such an incredible Wife...and she is Colombian, which means that i have been blessed with a family that speaks Spanish. Since the time I started courting mi Esposa I have been promising her and my family I would learn spanish. FINALLY, I have started!!! I have been sick for the past few days, and while laying in bed I decided I was gonna quit being scared that I would not be able to learn, and have finally begun my journey to learn Spanish!!!!

Una nina come? Un nino cocina? Una mujer corre? Un Hombre? Una Mujer? These are my examples so far......MORE TO COME SOON!!!!

My first homemade dressing

My husband is sick =/ can you see his little eyes? He was such a good sport though, he came and prayed with us and had dinner. And then right after he just went into the room and crawled in bed.

Our good friend Erin came over to cook with us and have dinner. We had lemon salmon, home made mashed potatoes and strawberry, spinach salad. The most exciting part is that I actually made the salad dressing from scratch, and nobody is sick, they loved it and I am ecstatic!

I am learning to cook friends. Tomorrow I am making my K a Colombian soup that us Colombian people say "wakes people from the dead". Mom told me it would help him feel better, pray and cross your fingers, I don't mess it up and it's actually good!

Shoe cleaning day

I fell asleep last night with the computer in my lap, I was exhausted. I could hear K doing things in the living room but I was too tired to inquire about his project. I woke up this morning to the following sculpture:

He said he just needed to clean some of his shoes and wanted to use the fan to dry them, out of the blue. And then he got it in his mind he had to go through his clothes, so you get a glimpse of the mountains of clothes in our living room....

He is just so cute.

The Turf Club

The food was really good, and their sauce selection is phenomenal.

Last night we went to The Turf Club with a few friends I have to admit that even though the place looks sketchy from the outside, it is super fun and has great food. They serve you raw food and then you cook it in a big grill that is sitting in the middle of the restaurant, it is fun to cook your food surrounded by strangers you might never see again.
