Our niece Maddie in her tutu bathing suit

Our other niece, and Maddie's sister, Sophie Jo in her cute pink bathing suit.

My mom and my grandpa will be in San Diego in less than 2 days, I am so excited to see them. And just in case that wasn't enough fun for the weekend, this two little ones will be here too and they will bring their parents, their grandparents, their great aunt and their great grandma. We will have a great weekend, I am counting down the hours!!

K and I got our marriage license this morning (we have been married for almost 9 months but the wedding was in Colombia and isn't legally recognized in the States), had lunch with friends, ran errands, finally found a duvet cove that we like (after a good 10 months of unsuccessful search, pics to come!) and K got new cool blue shades from pool mamma (his mom, my mother in law).

What you all need to know though is that we spent the whole day in sandals and at a phenomenal 76 degrees... we love San Diego.

Also, I downloaded Shake it on my phone and I am loving it, aren't today's pictures fun?

K is making such a funny face in that picture. I think he was tired because he worked for 12 hours while I was at home and having fun with friends. But hey we are having a 3 day weekend starting Saturday and it will be a packed weekend too.

We are going to Foveo Defero a really fun art show one of our good friends has been putting together. Some of our family members will be in town and we will finally get married in the states woo hoo!

I ran put of my favorite Colombian snack. This is not good, not good at all. The good news is Mom comes next week and she will bring me more.

Today I woke up to Crème Brûlée french toast from our favorite breakfast place. My K left early in the morning, picked it up and brought me breakfast to bed. We ate and he gave me flowers, chocolates and a sweet card. We had agreed we weren't going to do much for Valentine's day, we wanted to spend time together that's all. So we went to church, had Mexican food after for lunch, and then walked around Balboa Park. Once in Balboa Park we headed towards the circus!

It was a great date and even though a bit unconventional, incredibly romantic and fun.

I know, I know clowns are not precisely the most loved of characters, I know my K thinks they are all evil, I know there have been some clowns that have damaged the reputation of the clown community. But both me and K fell in love with this guy, he was funny and sweet and made all the kids in the circus have a great time (including the Luehmann kids!).

K loved the circus, he had never been to one and I think his first experience was a good one.

Happy Valentines day!!

Since our second wedding is around the corner I am remembering all things about our first wedding.

The save the date was a lot of fun to create, it was rack card size, we figured people could use them as bookmarks or something. Our friend
Matt helped us create it, I was super annoying and had him change a thousand things but he was nice enough to keep helping after all the craziness.

Thanks Matt

Today I have a hair appointment, then I am off to work. Right after work #1 I am coming home to fold the laundry that has been waiting to be folded for a few days, and then I'll go to work #2. K is going to work early in the am and not coming back after the clock has gone half way around. I'll miss you love!

My good friend Erin had a birthday today

So with the help of some of our friends, my K and I decided to throw a mystery murder dinner. It was lots of fun and we will be throwing another one soon!

K was Reilly Ravish, Rick Rochester's lawyer (Rick was a millionaire that was murdered) and he was at the dinner to read Rick's will

I was the family's psychiatrist, Jean Thoughtful and boy did I know one too many secrets.

Happy Birthday!

K and I spent our whole day together, no interruptions, no distractions, no work talk, no church talk, just him and me talking about life, God, family and our USA wedding coming up. Later at night our good friends the Stensons invited us to dinner and a movie and then we came home and snuggled. I love days off!!
