Antonella Week 36

Let's see what my notes from this week show... much better sleeping patterns, naps are down at 10am and 4pm, and bedtime continues to be at 9pm. She generally wakes up at 630am, and snuggles with me for another 15 minutes to 30 minutes before she's ready to face the day. She really likes riding in shopping carts and looking around, very exciting!

I am playing catch up here. This week Antonella started enjoying food a lot more according to the notes I took haha, which was fun.She also went to the pool here in San Diego for the first time, and even though the wind isn't warm, it isn't really cold and she enjoyed it.

While in Palm Springs Antonella and the other cousins wore cute outfits and we took pictures. I think white is a good color on this baby. She has been eating more and more also. We discovered she loves wheat thins, she'll devour them in seconds but we have to be careful because sometimes she breaks big pieces and tries to swallow them.  

We have been leaving her with a friend for a couple hours every Tuesday for few weeks now and she has been great, the first few weeks she struggled a bit, but now she has no problems. She adjusts so easily to new environments, I feel really blessed my baby is so easy going.

Squash and sweet potatoes are new favorites when it comes to food. I feel like the sleep training we started when she was 5 and half-6 months was well worth it now that she is on a schedule. She sleeps 9pm-630am and then takes a nap at 10am and another nap at 4pm. Not every day is the same but it is 30 mins off those times. She understands when it is bed time and when it is nap time and it makes my life so much easier. I love my smart little baby.

I probably sound like a broken record but honestly life has been so very busy. March in retrospect feels hazy. The whole month was pretty much dedicated to preparing for the Easter Egg Hunt and our Easter Celebrations at church. And we just kept going and going and going, full force, all the way until April arrived. 

I also got a brand new niece the 21st of this month, that was the best part. I cannot wait to meet her! 

Ok April, here we go.

She keeps growing and growing and moving and moving. It really does feel like someone pushed the fast forward button, and I just want to press pause and enjoy every second. Antonella is wearing the tutu that Jen from Cutie Bootie Tutu (a friend from Caleb and Angie's childhood) made for her. Isn't it the cutest tutu you've seen?

I feel like Antonella has been teething since she was born, she is such a sweet baby she doesn't really complain, she just finds things to bite and lately those things are my bracelets or my cheeks. 

Her ears have been bothering her from the earrings and we have considered taking them off but we will wait a few weeks and see how it goes. Food has been better, she eats more things now but is still not a huge fan of the purees, big pieces of bread or big carrots are favorites right now.

How can a little baby who only crawls indoors get her shoes so dirty and destroyed? I don't know, but she manages.

Living life with Antonella is certainly interesting. She never sits still and loves crawling all day long. If I am running errands and she needs to be with me, ends up spending too much time in her stroller or car seat she gets cranky, she needs to get her energy out. 

Due to her intrepid nature she bonks her head on everything, all the time so we have to deal with bruises and red marks, as seen in this picture, she rarely cries though, we know she really got hurt if there is crying involved.  

I say it all the time but I really can't believe how much I am enjoying being her mom, I am loving every second of it.

February in Pictures

February was hectic, lots of school work, lots of baby crawling, lots of baby chasing, lots of church friends and family. Hectic but fun.
