Sushi with friends

We went to dinner with friends a couple nights ago. Sushi is always a good time, we enjoyed our friends and after dinner we went to a fun urban kids park and to the hope for cancer memorial. We had a lot of fun and just took pictures playing everywhere. It was a nice way to begin a busy week!

Shrimp, bacon, italian soda, friends...

Sunday night we got invited to the Vegas' house for dinner. Julia made cupcakes and greeted us with hummus and flat bread. Brandon made Shrimp filled with peas and cream cheese wrapped in bacon with sun dried tomato Alfredo fettuccine and buttered asparagus. We drank Italian soda, had a great conversation and enjoyed our time with friends. A great way to end your Sunday night!

I don't love the weather but I am totally ok with it

Sometimes I don't like it when San Diego is gray on our day off, it's just so out of character. But today when I checked San Diego's weather I also looked at Bogota's weather and I must admit I am ok with San Diego being a little bit gloomy if I don't have to get soaked every day because it's raining cats and dogs.

White shoes and bright tops

Today for church husband and I wore white shoes but we didn't realize until 2 more people wearing white shoes at church mentioned it. I just wanted to wear my Mother's Day gift!! My husband is the sweetest man on earth and even though we don't have babies yet, neither are we expecting, he decided I deserved a Mother's Day gift since I will one day be the mommy to his babies. I have been thinking all week how to wear the lovely pumps and last night I remembered my white pants and decided to go that route.

Anyways, I hope your weekend was wonderful, ours starts today!!

Saturday night at church

K and I went to church tonight. I loved having him there, he's usually at work Saturdays so it was nice to see him. He left me and went back to work as soon as church was over but at least I got to hold his hand during service. Tomorrow morning we are going back to church and we have to invitations to dinner, we are hoping to make it to both!

Point Loma Nazarene University

Yesterday I had an interview at PLNU to apply to one of their graduate programs. The interview went great, I have to send a sample of my writing and then I can start in August 2010. I am excited to go back to school and get my masters. The only thing I took a picture of was the view from the department of pastoral leadership. Honestly, I don't know how their students are able to concentrate. The campus is gorgeous, I'd be staring our the windows all the time, we'll see how I overcome the desire to just admire the pacific ocean.

Free wedges and a shaved face

I got these wedges at First Sunday, I am not sold on the design on the cork but I do love that they were free and that they make me look so very tall. If I am wearing a maxi dress you can't see the design so no biggie right?. On non-related news husband shaved his face, he looks so different and cute, I think it is a nice idea for the summer.

Mother's Day

K's grandma has been in the hospital for the last couple of days due to a stroke, so Mother's day was spent at the nicest hospital room (I think grandma's hospital room is bigger than our apartment) playing monopoly with pool momma and pool poppa. For lunch we went to Roy's, a hawaiian fusion restaurant that has outstanding food. We told pool momma about Words with Friends and we spent the time at lunch playing each other, the hostess that took our picture laughed at us.

After lunch we went back to the hotel hospital room and played monopoly for a bit longer, until grandma said she wanted to rest and sleep. Thank God grandma is doing good and she should be out of the hospital and into a medical facility were she will receive 24hr personalized attention by tomorrow.

K and I have been blessed with tons of moms, so yesterday we made all of our calls, told them all we love them and for the rest of the year we will keep thanking God for our various sources of incredible wisdom. We love you all very very much!!!
