A friend of mine saw three pictures much like these on Pinterest when I had just recently found out I was pregnant; so we decided to borrow the idea and do it ourselves and here is the result.

In her 5th week Antonella was in Colombia, which explains the post being so very very late. She started to coo a couple weeks ago but this week she started doing it often and with more people. I think having so many people around her caused her to want to share her feelings and talk a lot.
She is still sleeping pretty well, 4.5 hrs stretches at night followed by a 3.5 hr one so that's good.
We love her more and more everyday and I am starting to see her change and grow and it gets me excited but also makes me sad. Trying to enjoy every second with her and not miss out on this few months of her being a tiny little baby.

When you work at a church and your birthday falls on a Sunday you know you have to have a low key birthday. And when you want a low key birthday, it all works out perfect.
I've never liked drawing too much attention to myself on my birthdays, no, it has nothing to do with aging or things like that, I have no problem being 30, it's just uncomfrotable for me to have too much attention on me on my birthday. So when Caleb asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I told him the truth, spend time with my family.
On Sunday we went to church, people hugged me and gave me gifts and after Caleb arranged for us to go to lunch with a few of my girlfriends to Craft & Commerce. They had a Crème brûlée for me with the 30 on top of it and we got to celebrate my 30th birthday and Antonella's first 30 days (we were both born on the 16).
My girl friends had people write what they appreciate about me and they put it all in a journal so I ended up crying while reading all the amazing, sweet things people had to say.
As usual my birthday was perfect, I am loving 30.

In the hotel in LA |
The ergo is amazing |
This was in Houston at an ungodly hour |
With a baby who was a month and 2 days Caleb and I ventured oversees to Colombia to attend my sister's wedding.
It all started Sunday night with a drive to LA, we found a hotel by the airport and spent the night there, we went to breakfast in Santa Monica with a friend, and then we headed to the airport. It was little hectic trying to get the bags and the car seat, and the paperwork, and everything done with a baby. It is different I must admit.
We had to stand outside in the line for security as the line was way too long and it went out the doors. Since Southern California hasn't gotten the memo that fall is here it was hot and Antonella got really warm during the line which made her fuzzy and us very uncomfortable. Once we made it indoors we were fine.
I checked in online and gave Caleb the aisle seat and myself the window seat in hopes that nobody would take or be given the middle seat and my plan worked great. It was just the three of us from LA to Houston and from Houston to Bogota. Antonella was amazing throughout the whole thing, she was up for a bit and played with us, and then she slept and slept and slept.
We left LA at 5pm on Monday and arrived to Colombia at 5am on Tuesday. Exhaustion is a good word to explain how we felt.
Successful trip with baby #1: check.

We took this pictures when Antonella turned 4 weeks and didn't get a chance to upload them until now. Antonella's 4th week was wonderful, it is almost surreal that we have only had her for a month, it feels like it has been so much longer than that.
In her 4th week Antonella went to visit her grandma in Palm Springs, had her first interaction with a baby gym and went with us to her first prayer meeting. Big week for her!
She started not pooping but every 36-40 hrs which is normal for babies this small, but then when she does poop we usually have a blow out. Maybe TMI and she will hate that I shared so much with the world but oh well. We have learned to carry a zip lock bag for dirty clothes and a change of clothes everywhere we go.

Remember Aubrey? Well she is growing! and her and Antonella will be best friends one day as her momma and I were pregnant at the same time and she helped answer a thousand questions for me (Aubrey was her second, Gibby was her first).
Here is a picture of Brandon+ Aubrey and Caleb+Antonella. They are good dads, and I can't think of something more important for a little girl than to have a good daddy. So blessed we have men like these in our church. Aubrey and Antonella are blessed beyond belief.

Pool momma got Miss Antonella Uggs for her trip to Colombia. She looks so very cute, I cannot wait to be there and have her wear them and have warm little feet.
Thank you pool momma.

Remember the 567 donut day? well this year we participated too and we made 700 donuts. It was such a great time as it always is with these guys.
We were able to welcome parents from 3 different schools in the area on their kids' first day.
Antonella was there with us and helped by sleeping soundly and letting momma help out.

Our friend Julia had a birthday yesterday, and Brandon her husband threw a 1920's party for her as she said goodbye to her 20's. It was such a fun party, and every detail was impeccable. Antonella came to the party with us and she was wearing her pearls and feather head piece. She was a good sport.
We had such a great time at the party. I had only 20 minutes to get ready as having a baby makes everything take so much longer, and I wished I would have had more time, but hey it all worked out.
Julia looks gorgeous but for some odd reason I don't have a pictures, I'll try to steal one from her and put it up.
Happy Birthday Julia, and thank you for having us at the party.

Week 3 was a good week for Miss Antonella. She went through a little bit of a growth spurt so she was eating a lot more than normal but it was all good. She started going places with us, and I have been trying to be careful and take car of my body but still go out and show Antonella the world.
She is a very well behaved baby, she rarely cries and when she does it is usually because she feels lonely, because we aren't paying enough attention to her, she likes to be involved in everything that is going on around her and she loves noise and people and just being busy.
Every day I love her more, I must admit I didn't feel that instant connection with her, but surely my love for her grows every day and when I close my eyes I see her face and just smile. It feels like she has been around forever, Caleb and I just can't imagine life without her now (even though we are still adjusting to getting ready with a baby around). In a week+ she will be a month! time flies when you are having fun.
