Since USM classes were over, our Pastors Ben & Katie decided to honor the students and the teacher and staff for their hard work. They made us crepes for breakfast and then they surprised us all with a limousine ride to the mall (once of the families that attend our church own a limousine company and blessed us) and a gift card for us to use on ourselves. We toasted in the limousine with sparkling cider and then we went shopping. After that we went to C-Level for lunch and shared with each other what we appreciated from each, which as uncomfortable as it was for me I can't deny is was encouraging and nice to hear positive things about me (especially since most of what they shared I don't see in me, so it was wonderful).

I love being able to serve with these wonderful people, and I get to do it next to K, I could not ask for a more rewarding job.

As the year at USM is coming to an end and the classes are all over, our pastors decoded to have a Bonfire at Coronado Island to reminiscence and just hang out. Most everyone involved had a chance to make it and we talked and played and had fun and it was wonderful.

The sky was beautiful and the waves were crazy so for the first 20 minutes all we could do was stare at the waves. Coronado is beautiful and I love that it is just minutes away from our house.

Grandma is in the hospital and had to undergo surgery, so we decided to come to Palm Springs and see her and see Aunt Karen who was visiting from Turkey. Please keep grandma in your prayers as she is very frail and uncomfortable.

While there we decided to go to the living desert to take a nice walk with our nieces and just enjoy the outdoors. The girls walked all over and saw all these awesome animals and our pregnant sister got to sit on the stroller we got for the girls and we pushed her, and it was great since that baby boy in her belly has her more tired than she would normally be. We had a great time at the Living Desert and we are very grateful our jobs are flexible enough than we can go to Palm Springs when we need to go.

Our Friends Jason & Jennifer are the coolest people out there and they have two kids who have proved coolness is hereditary. Last week they had a fundraiser and while their oldest daughter was going to have a sleepover with a friend, their younger son was asked to hang out with us. Jonah was so much fun! We had dinner, frozen yogurt and played Wii. I really enjoyed my time with Crazy Mr Jonah, he's just spontaneous and crazy and honest and a boy in its true meaning.

Our church had a ministry partners meeting last week and it was great to hear our pastor share where our church is right now and where we should be getting ready for in the next few months to a year. Everyone was really excited to hear the plans God has for Urban and we really can't wait to start seeing all the work we are putting together bring back fruit. Oh and did I mention we got a chocolate fountain for the meeting? A-M-AZING!!

We went to University Heights to explore the area and look for buildings for our church and as we were driving googlemaps-less we ran into the most beautiful area with the most outstanding homes and a fantastic view of the city. I love San Diego, and I love exploring with K, we walked around the whole area for about 2 hours and then came home. It was a nice night out.
