Filling up eggs with candy last week at our Community Group. We filled 800 eggs and ran out of candy, last week was such a busy week getting ready for all Easter but it was well worth it when we saw the results yesterday. I'll post pictures this week.

Walking in Palm Springs is a tradition now and we love the tradition; especially when pool poppa joins, it's wonderful. The sun setting and the colors on the sky changing every second were beautiful; it reminded me of Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork" Why do we ever spend our time indoors?

Isn't this tea set beautiful? Pool Momma loves tea so we drink tea together when I am visiting and we drink it out of this set or another cute one she has. I told her I loved this one to which she replied Caleb was going to inherit it so I was going to have it. After a short pause she requested I didn't pray for her death... I love her, she says the funniest things.

We went to Palm springs for a couple of days to rest and celebrate Pool Momma & Pool Poppa's birthday (yes they have the same birthday, isn't that cool?) and we went to walmart to look for a more efficient way to store her DVD's, as we walked in we saw all the Easter baskets and Pool Momma said she would buy some for the Bunny Bash. We got 6 baskets and tons of candy, it was awesome to shop for Easter and to think of all the people that will be blessed next Sunday.
Thanks Pool Momma, you are such a generous, wonderful woman!

Last weekend we had our Ladies Brunch, and of course I had it on my calendar in bold and I was expectantly waiting the day it would come.
There is something extraordinary about ladies together worshiping God. Women are astonishing, we can be sweet yet stern, insightful yet scatterbrained, strong yet fragile, serious and funny and wonderful all together. Spending our Saturday morning with the ladies of Urban Church was superb. Pastor Katie talked about living the kind of life God planned of us instead of the scrapes of a life we can put together or the awful life the enemy has planned for us, and afterwards we had great conversation at the round tables.
There was such an atmosphere of trust, ladies felt comfortable sharing their struggles and asking for prayer. It was so powerful and touching. Soon we will start planning for the next ladies event and I believe it will be mind-boggling too.

Our Friends the Vega's couldn't make it to K's birthday in December, so they wanted to have take us our for sushi. We ate more than one should eat and laughed at all the crazy things you have to adjust to once you get married. Brandon and Julia got married just 4 months after us, so they are in our same boat, still learning!
It is always nice to go out with friends, and chat, and catch up, and know that you are not alone in life thinking all the crazy things you think. We like the Vega's and we made plans to see them soon for some dance classes, so you will all get to see our moves!

Marissa is one of the students at USM, so we've know her for 7 months and in just those short months she has become one of our favorite people. She makes cat noises, has a perpetual smile and always does things with the bests of attitudes, how can you not love her?
Her birthday was last week and we got invited to her surprise party; don't you love surprising people and making them feel special? We enjoyed being able to honor her on her birthday and since we were in Mexico earlier we decided to get her something there; we got her a candle in the shape of a cupcake, isn't that neat and unique?
Happy Birthday Marissa!

Remember my friend Beca who lives in TJ? well we went to see her again last week. Beca has a great orthodontist and Caleb broke his retainer. We don't have insurance so we figured going to Mexico was going to be the best idea. Beca made an appointment for us and we walk across the border.
We were able to see a few nice areas in Tijuana, we saw a neighborhood with gorgeous homes and we went to the beach to see where the wall that divides America and Mexico is, it's crazy how small and simple it is. We went to lunch and to a new mall and then once Caleb's retainer was ready we headed back home.
I love Beca, I really miss having her around more often but I am happy to see she is doing well.
Becky see you next month for Caleb's check up!
