Caleb and I were walking around PLNU and saw all these different plants in random objects. Now we want to try it but I kill every plant I come in contact with so I don't know how that will work. Isn't it cool though?

With high heels, necklace and husband I made my way to Vista, CA to do some homework. I am trying to join the rest of the world with the whole feather frenzy, I still feel weird wearing them but I think they look beautiful in people's hair, or as earrings or necklaces, I just think I look too "native" and I am not so I feel strange. I don't know. I am venturing though so we'll see.

At school the teacher projected Ephesians 4 unto the board and after reading it 4 different times, 4 different ways we started going to the board and highlighting pieces that spoke to us or our ministries. The Bible is so amazing, to hear how many different things the same passage was passage was speaking to so many different people was incredible. The Word truly is living an active and sharper than any two edged sword.
I LOVE SCHOOL!

I went on a field trip at school. We visited to churches in San Diego and had a chance to interview the lead pastors + a staff member. It was incredibly insightful to see two different churches in the same city where I, I loved learning about how they do things and what their priorities are. Both churches are quite different to each other, and to Urban, we all share similarities but we are all different.
The picture of the body of Christ makes so much ore sense when you look outside you box. I loved being able to ask questions and see what God is doing in these congregations and through them. They reach people we aren't reaching and vice versa.
In case I haven't said it lately, I love school!!

| The last day of school they had free chocolate croissants in the morning and I had fruit, granola and water. |
When I was in Jr High my parents took me to the doctor, he said I was anemic and I was too short for my age (shocker!) and referred me to a nutritionist. The nutritionist was awesome, I still remember her name Martha Liliana. She gave me a whole bunch of shakes and things to drink, some of which I hated. My mom concerned for my height and my low number of red blood cells would wake me up every morning with one of the gross shakes, every morning was a fight, I hated the shakes, she had to make me drink them.
One morning, fed up with my reluctance my mom did what any mom of a geek would: she told me I couldn't go to school if I didn't drink my shakes in the morning. Her problem was solved, I would drink my shakes every morning because missing school was just a horrible idea. I am serious when I say I love going to school, I love learning, and reading, and understanding new things; school is definitely one of my favorite places.
As you all know I have been attending PLNU for about a year now. I am getting my masters degree and I love every second I am in class, it's just amazing being there surrounded by people I am surrounded and with the view I have. Last week I was done with summer school, and my last day of class, Thursday I was all ready to come back for the fall. My husband, being the awesome man that he is, brought me lunch and we sat outside to eat together and chat.
I really cannot wait to go back!

My husband had been taking classes at USM and he finished all his classes and did wonderfully so last week at church he got his certificate along with a few other students that hadn't gotten it. I am so proud of him and he loves learning all the things he's learning. Way to go guys, and way to go Husband!

As the year at USM is coming to an end and the classes are all over, our pastors decoded to have a Bonfire at Coronado Island to reminiscence and just hang out. Most everyone involved had a chance to make it and we talked and played and had fun and it was wonderful.
The sky was beautiful and the waves were crazy so for the first 20 minutes all we could do was stare at the waves. Coronado is beautiful and I love that it is just minutes away from our house.

The picture is a bit blurry but I am sure you all can read where I was... SCHOOL!! I just recently went back to school to work on my masters degree and I decided on PLNU and their school of theology and Christian ministry.
I love being back in school and learning so much about God and His church. I have been learning about preaching and I have been amazed at the Word of God and how beautiful and rich and grand it is.
Reading it knowing that I am called to share it with others, gives the Scriptures a completely new meaning; allows for me to fall in love with them under a brand new light. They are to be devoured; almost literally, so that we can become what they say we are and so that others can come to realize who they are through them.
In the practical side of things I love learning about what it takes to be a good preacher in 2011. I love putting 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 into context and seeing how I am to become all things to all people for the sake of the gospel. And how I will be more effective of a communicator of the gospel if I allow for the Love of Christ to flow through me.
I am really excited to see how God will use all of this information I am learning and how I will make sure I retain everything.

I am so excited about the new books I got for school. They are all about preaching and sharing the gospel, can't wait to start reading them and learning more about sharing my faith. I really do love school, I just recently started studying again, pursuing my masters degree and I am already planning what I'll be doing next.
Every day after school I get home and I am just beyond excited because God's plan for our life is so clear while I am listening to all the teachers and as we come together for prayer. Going back to school has been one of the best decisions we've made, I can't wait to be back in class!!!

So as you know I started pursuing a master's degree at PLNU and it has been really interesting and fun. I think I am one of those people that love school. Anyways for my next class these are the four books I have to read (which I gotta get on it because they have to be read by Oct so i can go ahead and finish my assignemtns) and I just thought it was interesting that those were the books. For those of you who believe in God I definitely think He's trying to say something to me. For those of you who don't believe in God, He's definitely trying to say something =D.I am excited to keep learning!

Yesterday I had an interview at PLNU to apply to one of their graduate programs. The interview went great, I have to send a sample of my writing and then I can start in August 2010. I am excited to go back to school and get my masters. The only thing I took a picture of was the view from the department of pastoral leadership. Honestly, I don't know how their students are able to concentrate. The campus is gorgeous, I'd be staring our the windows all the time, we'll see how I overcome the desire to just admire the pacific ocean.
