In Colombia hazelnut rolled wafers are pretty popular, I used to have them all the time when I was a little girl. I didn't realize they weren't that popular here until I ate some at a birthday party last week and realized they are not only still delicious but also hard to find.

I went to world market, found some and we have been eating them since. Kris and Caleb like to talk like mobsters and pretend they are smoking them, silly guys!

If you haven't tried them make your way to world market and buy a can, you won't regret it!

We had a really fun weekend, it all started with a wedding and finished with dinner at the Basse's who have a new member in the family. Mr. Gibson Bennett Basse was born last Tuesday and he's absolutely gorgeous. K and I brought dinner and spent a few hours with them, we wanted to take little Gibson with us but they weren't ok with that so we left sad and hoping to see them soon. I love little babies, they smell wonderful and they are sooooo very cute

My wonderful, beautiful mom bought an apartment in Colombia a couple years ago so that her older daughter would have a place to live in with her husband, she never thought her older daughter was going to marry a crazy American and they were going to end up living in sunny California as opposed to cold all year long Bogota.

She still decided to bless us with a 3 bedroom apartment in Bogota that we couldn't use because we were way too far away.

So after prayer and discussions we decided to put the apartment for sale and we are hoping to have it sold by December, say your prayers friends =D!

Again we are busy and haven't had a chance to take pictures but we promise to be better, the kids won't be happy when they ask what happened between the 2nd and the 23rd and we can't remember but hey it's all good, our life is 80% here so they'll be grateful they can read the story with us.

About two months ago I had a chance to preach at our church since our pastors were out of town and I thought it'd be nice to share the video here. So if you have 45 minutes grab a coke or a bottle of water a few snacks and listen to the message God put in my heart.

So I had a gift card for a manicure and when I went to the spa to get my nails done and headed over to the nail polish rack I saw about 25 different types of Taupe nail polish, obviously the gorgeous color survived the summer neon colors and its still in style.

I picked one that looked pretty and when the lady put it in my nails she said "oh look at that, it's like a nude against your skin tone, you can barely see the real color". I noticed that too and I love the color but I must admit that for my skin I like darker tones a bit better.
Ps. I still think my ring is the most beautiful ring in the whole wide world =D

I just got this picture a couple days ago and I thought it was adorable. Can you see little Soph trying to peek over the table? I miss our nieces so much, they are just fun

Palm Springs was pretty warm during our stay so we did what all families should do when leaving the house can cause melting, we played board games. I had never played Mexican Train before but I am glad I did, such a fun variation of dominoes.

Just so you all know I won twice out of the three times we played, apparently I am really good at weird versions of dominoes, there is always something new to learn about yourself!

My K took me to Palm Springs for a couple days. It was such a nice time! We got to relax all of Sunday, watched the church service online, and played games. Monday night after a fun day of laying by the pool and going to the movies (watched The Town at 2:35pm and the theater was packed, Palm Springs is just funny) we went to dinner with Pool Poppa and Pool Momma.

Roy's is a Hawaiian Fusion restaurant with outstanding food and great customer service. They had made reservations for my birthday so they had our table ready with a few streamers and my menu had a birthday note for me.

It was such a nice time, I love going to Palm Springs it is always such a nice and relaxing time for us. It also is super entertaining if Pool Poppa and Pool Momma are there, they are so much fun.

Thank you for everything Clay and Kate and K!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!
