So when my mom and grandma were visiting the week of June 10th I was really tired and kept falling asleep in the car every time I got in. My mom asked me when I was supposed to get my period and I told her I was a couple days old, but it wasn't regular yet from having had Antonella and breastfeeding, and she said, I think you are pregnant.

So Friday June 14th we decided to buy a couple pregnancy tests and that night Caleb and I talked about it, prayed and just laughed at the possibility of us having a baby 18 months after the other baby.

Around 11pm curiosity got the best of me and I told Caleb I wanted to take a test. As soon as I peed on the stick I got two lines, and I thought uh oh, that was fast. I washed my hands and told Caleb, but he said let's wait still. We talked and just sat together hugging, and then after 3 minutes we decided to look, and sure enough we still had 2 lines, we were having a baby.

I busted the pregnancy apps and decided to figure out what my due date would be and how far along I was, even though I had a good idea. And I was on my sixth week, estimated due date came back as February 14th, so I convinced myself it was February 28th from the get go.

We prayed that night for a while, we gave baby Luehmann #2 to the Lord and went to bed. I took another test in the morning, and cleaned it enough to let A hold it and take it into grandma's room. She gave it to my mom and as soon as she saw it she started crying and gave me a big long hug, she was so excited. She then ran to tell great grandma who also was super excited.

Saturday we ran around all day, and Caleb and I called immediate family to let them know. We were so excited to be having another baby. Sunday we celebrated Father's Day and I realized we had not gotten a word for this baby like we did for A, so that night I asked God to give us a word for baby. And Monday I woke to an email from my dad which contained the following Scriptures:

Psalms 127:3-6 "Children are a gift from the Lord ; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

Psalms 128:1-4 "How joyful are those who fear the Lord — all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table. That is the Lord’s blessing for those who fear him."

And then as I was reading I stumbled upon Isaiah 54:13 and I knew it was God speaking to me about baby.

"All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children."

We are so excited to meet this baby who will be taught by the Lord, the joy he will bring is already a promise from God and we believe he/she is already an instrument God will use to expand His Kingdom.

Antonella Week 43
This week Colombian grandma and great grandma were in town and spending a lot of quality time with Antonella (which explains all the pink, they just wanted her to wear pink haha). They couldn't put her to bed for naps, so she was walked and rocked to sleep, she tasted ice cream, and she had more play time than she has had since she was born. It was such a good time.

She has been walking pretty well for the last few weeks, which also means we have a new bruise every week. She bonks her head against everything, but my sweet little baby very rarely cries, she just shakes herself and continues on her journey towards discovery.

She also has decided that dancing is fun. Every time she hears music she starts dancing and it's so very cute. I love that she has rhythm and loves music, makes me feel she is Colombian in spite of the whiteness haha.

Antonella week 42

This week Antonella has officially spent more time in the outside world than in my belly, which both saddens me and excites me. Caleb and I celebrated our 4th anniversary and talked so much about how our lives have changed. It's crazy around here all the time, my baby adjusts to my schedule and runs around with me wherever I go, and she's tired but keeps going, and I am tired but keep going, and then all 3 of us crash without taking the laundry out of the dryer, and it doesn't matter. Life just looks different when you have a baby, not better, not worse, just completely, and magically different.

Antonella got weighed this week, she is an astounding 16.5lb. 10% haha.Tiny little monkey. She also got a train and an airplane in the mail from pool momma and they have been our toys of choice for the last couple of days, too much fun!

Lots of walking in May, we walked everywhere. And also Caleb and I started hosting events for the Canvas Youth group in May. A new challenge for us, one we are excited to take on and trust God with.

Antonella week 41
Lots of pool time and beach time this week. And with memorial day weekend there was also a lot of sun. Antonella visited her first roller coaster-type amusement park this week (she had been to Seaworld and the San Diego Zoo, but they don't count to me). knott's berry farm. We had an awesome time and Antonella behaved beautifully, except for the cranky attitude on the ride up, in a 15 passenger van, with 14 other people. They all were loving and gracious toward her.

It was also the first time she ever touched the ocean, she loved it, she ran toward the water and couldn't get enough of it. Pictures of our memorial day weekend coming soon!

Antonella Week 40

Antonella has been walking a lot. She had been moving from one piece of furniture to another giving two or three steps at a time, but now she give 7-10 steps towards us. Caleb and I were astonished the first morning she did it. She is quite motivated to move.

You can also guess who dressed her for this pictures, that's right, not me! The shoes were a gift for Linus, and Caleb could not wait to put them on. I wanted to wait a bit longer because they are a bit heavy, but she did fine and she looked pretty cute in little Lino's shoes.

Antonella 39
Yeah, that's slobber in the second picture. Antonella has been a slobbering mess, kisses are awesome, which she has begun to give. I am not sure if they are kisses or attempts to relieve the pain she is feeling in her gums, but I take them as signs of affection as I clean my cheeks, forehead, eyes, etc.

This week she went with us to a couple high schools and middle schools to hand out cars to kids and invite them to our church youth event, and I was a little concerned that the kids were going to think it was weird to have a lady with a baby there, but instead she helped draw a crowd. A whole bunch of girls came up to her to say hi and she was her usual charming self. This baby of mine is favor everywhere I go.

Antonella Week 38

Antonella is now an expert with the sippy cup. She drinks a lot and then pours a lot down her shirt, because why not? This week we visited pool Momma and Antonella played with a train and an airplane for hours, she loved them. Dolls? not so much, it's all about vehicles for this little one. She had her second tooth poke through also. So we have two little bottom middle teeth just poking through. Every week truly is a new adventure with this little one.

Antonella Week 37

Week 37 is weird because it makes me think of when I was full term with my baby here. And how eager I was to meet her, and how she still took a bit less than 5 more weeks to meet me.

This week Antonella officially broke her first took, bottom middle right, not sure what it is called. She was a little bit fuzzy but nothing unbearable or anything, just wanted momma more than usual, which I love because she is not cuddly or clingy at all. She also got her first pair of sunglasses this week. Which I'll have to upload pictures of them soon. And she started using her sippy cup. A good week.

April was so much because we got to see lots of family who came and visited, and that is always a good month. And then we also chased a baby who learned to climb on everything, eveything, E-VER-RY-THING! So April was one adventurous month.
