Antonella's first Christmas morning

Christmas morning for Antonella was quite fun. We opened gifts, and we laughed, and we played a little too. It was a fun and simple Christmas morning, it was perfect. Antonella being the blessed baby she is got presents from uncles, aunts and grandparents and she loved them all. 

Most importantly though we told her about Jesus, and why we celebrate Christmas, what it means to us and why it is important. She may not always get gifts, who knows. She may not always get surprised with a tree full of wrapped boxes. She may not always receive. One things is a fact though she will always have the gift Jesus gave her, salvation, and that is why Christmas morning is important, it will always be a reminder that she already got the most important gift of all, and she gets to share that gift with everyone she encounters in her life.

Katina's graduation

Remember miss Katina? She graduated from law school and we were not going to miss the opportunity to celebrate with her. She's amazing and the kind of woman I want my daughter to look after. I am so blessed by her, her tenacity, her hard work, her amazing attitude, her parenting, she's just all around outstanding.

Congratulations Miss Katina, we are blessed to know you and your girls. 

Antonella Week 18

This week Antonella started eating her feet, and she is pretty good at it, we need to get it on video and upload it. She is so full of energy. She is still pretty bad at her naps, and this week she had a little bit of a hard time sleeping through the night, so we woke up with her around 3am for 3 nights, but the good thing is that she would eat and go right back to bed. We'll see how week 19 treats us.

I realized I never uploaded any of this pictures of when my mom and grandma were still here and Antonella was just 2 weeks old. Hasn't she changed a lot? I am so grateful our friend Lucy took this pictures for us. I love them!

Antonella Week 17

This week was different; Antonella decided she was going to change her bedtime, and would not go to sleep until about midnight. She still slept quite well every night, something between 8 and 9 hrs but on days where we had to be somewhere early in the morning we had to get her out of bed and we quickly learned she does not like waking up like that.

She gets more and more fun every day, and she is officially done with 0-3 month sized clothes. We are now wearing 3 months, or 3-6 months (which are a little big on her). I honestly spend way too much time planning her outfits, but how can you not? it's so much fun!!! 

High school basketball

One of the young men that goes to our church with us plays in his high school basketball team, Arturo! He had his first game yesterday so we decided to go and cheer on him. Antonella's first basketball game was certainly fun! 

Antonella Week 16

We went to the doctor during Antonella's 16th week. She was grabbing the thermometer, the stetoscope and everything that got close enough for her to reach and the pediatrician just kept playing with her and telling her she was doing so well. She started rolling back and forth and the pediatrician went "wow she's not supposed to be doing that yet; have fun guys!" And fun is what we've had. 

She got her vaccines and she is now 24 inches and weighs 12lb; our little baby seems to be growing by the minute. 

November in pictures

November was crazy you guys, crazy!! Moving is so much work and then our church is moving and I had school, phew I feel tired just looking back. We do love our new place and all the facetime dates we got to make happen this month; facetime is the best.

Antonella week 15

I seriously need to get my act together! This is Antonella at 15 weeks. I could not for the life of me find the camera, or my makeup for that matter, so her 15 week pictures are iPhone pictures. I'll upload more soon when I can steal my husband's phone and upload more.

Antonella is a pro at rolling over, and she started to learn to roll back on her tummy. She is a pro sleeper too and her naps have gotten a little better even though she still fights napping with fierce passion. She talks all day long and moves all day long, Caleb says she reminds her of me with her busy-ness but I don't know. 

Having a baby is fun, it comes with work and you are tired and have less time for yourself, but it is fun and a great blessing. Caleb and I sometimes look at her sleeping at night and we can't believe God gave her to us, she is so perfect, so sweet, so amazing. 

Soon all this moving will be over and I will be back at posting more consistently. In the meantime enjoy the iPhone pics.
