We saw this recipe online and noticed we had almost all those ingredients at home so we had to try and make it. And here it is, our version of the Grilled Chicken with Lemon Basil Pasta. We changed a few things around but it was still delicious. Next time we make it we will probably grill the chicken out in the mini BBQ we have, even though the chicken was delicious it was a bit dry so we'll try truly grilling it. I'll add the recipe here just to have it recorded.
Grilled Chicken with Lemon Basil Pasta

Ingredients:
  • 4 whole Grilled Chicken Breasts, Sliced
  • 1 pound Penne Pasta, Cooked Until Al Dente
  • ½ sticks Butter
  • 3 whole Lemons, Juiced
  • ¾ cups Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cups Half-and-half
  • 1-½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (or Romano)
  • Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper, To Taste
  • 20 whole Basil Leaves, Chopped
Cook pasta, reserving 1 cup of hot pasta water when you drain.
Set pasta aside in a colander.
In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat.
Squeeze in the juice of 3 to 4 lemons. Whisk together.
Pour in cream and half-and-heat. Whisk until hot.
Dump in cheese and whisk until melted.
Add salt and pepper. Check consistency, adding some of the hot pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
Pour pasta and sauce into a large serving bowl.
Sprinkle remaining basil all over the top, then add sliced chicken breasts.
Serve immediately!

I saw something and got an amazing idea for the wall on my bedroom that is bare. It all starts with this old window we found at Pat's Corner for which we paid $30, including the paint job they are already working on. I will keep on showing you updates, we are so excited!

My K has been sick for a few days now and Miss Kamilah decided to write him a get well letter. Isn't her letter the sweetest letter you've ever seen?

Every time we go to Palm Spring we go to the movies to the same theater, and this time was no exception, we went 5 times which was more than usual but still really fun. Across the street from the theater where we go there is a fountain were kids can climb, and play, and get wet; and I had never seen it before, I don't know how I missed it but I am determined to climb it next time we are there.

In case you were all tired of bunnies and candy and eggs, here are more pictures of such things; but these are the last ones. We didn't take many pictures on Sunday because we were busy making sure everything was in place and moving things around; we took just a few and thankfully Christyna took amazing pictures and has been sharing them with the world.

We had so many kids at the Egg Hunt, and so many people at church; it was great and we felt encouraged as we saw people experience and realize the real reason for Easter. We are already thinking about next year and what we are going to do to make it even better; the Bunny is most definitely coming back!

I have been pinned to Pinterest for the last few weeks looking at awesome things people do, and beautiful places, and wonderful ideas, and fabulous homes.  I have started two projects for my house since I started my addictive search through the extraordinary things others pin. I'll show you guys my projects once I have all the elements to make them. But anyway I saw this print and I thought "hey I can do that" so here are my versions.

SHE LOVES BOGOTA - HE LOVES WASHINGTON

I want to print both and put them in a frame and in our spare bedroom, I think it'd be fun.

Remember the Farmer's Market in Little Italy we go to every now and then? well we went again this weekend but we brought the Easter Bunny and handed out cards inviting everyone to the Egg Hunt we were having at church the day after.

We had so much taking pictures with people and talking to everyone, Caleb was with the camera so he didn't make many pictures but he loved making little ones laugh and talking pictures of people. The Farmer's Market was always fun but this weekend we took it to a new level.
