Again we are busy and haven't had a chance to take pictures but we promise to be better, the kids won't be happy when they ask what happened between the 2nd and the 23rd and we can't remember but hey it's all good, our life is 80% here so they'll be grateful they can read the story with us.

About two months ago I had a chance to preach at our church since our pastors were out of town and I thought it'd be nice to share the video here. So if you have 45 minutes grab a coke or a bottle of water a few snacks and listen to the message God put in my heart.

So I had a gift card for a manicure and when I went to the spa to get my nails done and headed over to the nail polish rack I saw about 25 different types of Taupe nail polish, obviously the gorgeous color survived the summer neon colors and its still in style.

I picked one that looked pretty and when the lady put it in my nails she said "oh look at that, it's like a nude against your skin tone, you can barely see the real color". I noticed that too and I love the color but I must admit that for my skin I like darker tones a bit better.
Ps. I still think my ring is the most beautiful ring in the whole wide world =D

I just got this picture a couple days ago and I thought it was adorable. Can you see little Soph trying to peek over the table? I miss our nieces so much, they are just fun

Palm Springs was pretty warm during our stay so we did what all families should do when leaving the house can cause melting, we played board games. I had never played Mexican Train before but I am glad I did, such a fun variation of dominoes.

Just so you all know I won twice out of the three times we played, apparently I am really good at weird versions of dominoes, there is always something new to learn about yourself!

My K took me to Palm Springs for a couple days. It was such a nice time! We got to relax all of Sunday, watched the church service online, and played games. Monday night after a fun day of laying by the pool and going to the movies (watched The Town at 2:35pm and the theater was packed, Palm Springs is just funny) we went to dinner with Pool Poppa and Pool Momma.

Roy's is a Hawaiian Fusion restaurant with outstanding food and great customer service. They had made reservations for my birthday so they had our table ready with a few streamers and my menu had a birthday note for me.

It was such a nice time, I love going to Palm Springs it is always such a nice and relaxing time for us. It also is super entertaining if Pool Poppa and Pool Momma are there, they are so much fun.

Thank you for everything Clay and Kate and K!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

Kris and I went to the Halloween store because we all want to dress up this year and we wanted to go for inspiration, ideas and maybe just for fun. We were there for about an hr and we left with tons of pictures and no new ideas for what to be on Halloween.

I think K and I will be Pocahontas and John Smith just because we look like them (except she's freakishly tall and runs like a gazelle). Kris still doesn't know. I think Halloween is my favorite day, I just love how fun it is for everyone both kids and adults to dress up and have a good time.

It all started at midnight, K kissed me, sang Happy Birthday and danced for me. The dance was awesome, you guys should have seen it, just outstanding. I think we might make birthday dances a tradition at the Luehmann household.
Then my family started calling me at 430am, it was so nice to hear them even though K and I stayed up until 2am talking and dreaming and planning our lives. Around 7am my K left to bring me breakfast, and he got my favorite: Crème brûlée french toast from Crest Cafe. I was still trying to get a few minutes of sleep when he got back with breakfast but it was a great way to start my day.

Then both me and my K went about our days, we had work, projects, school work, etc and at 3pm he picked me up from Church (where I was working) and he told me to get ready for dinner. So I put on my new skirt, threw on some high heels, a jacket, makeup and voila I was ready for dinner. He suprised me by taking me to the restaurant he took me to the night he proposed to me.

We went to George's at the cove and sat at the terrace. We sat at the same table we did the night he proposed, it was a great treat to go back to the restaurant K took me to the day he proposed, I was having a great day already, but my birthday wasn't over.

We got home after dinner and K asked if I wanted to take a walk with him. We love walking together so I agreed without hesitation but little did I know he still had a surprise under his sleeve. As we were walking he told me to go into Extraordinary Desserts and look for any dessert to celebrate the end of the night, when we walked in I heard the voice of Cara and I kind of realized people were there but I had no idea there were going to be so many people celebrating with us. Mel planned everything with K, it was such a fun surprise.

It was so nice to see everyone there and then get my gigantic card everyone signed and get the bike they all pitched in to buy. It was the perfect gift at the perfect time with the perfect people. I had such a wonderful time and my K managed to surprise me and give me a marvelous birthday.

Thank you love and thank you everyone, you just made my day A-M-A-ZING!

My good friend Erin and my cousin Kris wanted to take me to dinner for an early birthday celebration. Well my hair wasn't done, it was actually dirty and I didn't have enough time to wash it and get it done, my solution: bring a hat to dinner. I LOVE HATS, they always save my life and I actually like how I look in them. So hooray for hats.

On other news we had Sushi, talked about life, God and babies (seriously I am obsessed right now), and we had a great time walking around the mall looking for something to wear for my actual birthday. We found a cute affordable skirt, you'll see it tomorrow!

Thanks guys, I had a great time!

I don't really like cards, I feel like I am being unwise with my money when I buy them. I love writing notes and letters, just not on cards. However, I love funny cards that describe how I feel, it's a reminder that I am not crazy and others feel just like I do and we all have crazy lives and say crazy things and laugh at our stories.

So when I stumbled upon the above card for 1.29 at CVS while getting tic tacs because I am hopelessly addicted to them, I had to get it. My birthday is almost here and I thought K could use a Happy Birthday to me card.

My husband is pretty amazing, and he's prefect for me, literally perfect. God created me thinking about him, that's why every second with him is like a fun adventure from a fiction book. I love my life so much sometimes I can't do anything but be grateful for everything in it. That doesn't mean K and I don't disagree every now and then, and I get annoyed, he gets annoyed, we roll our eyes, ask for forgiveness and kiss until we can't remember why we were annoyed. So the card was just perfect, we irritate each other but more than that we love each other!

So K, Happy Birthday to me, I LOVE YOU!!

I have been obsessed with all things kids. I think God is preparing me to be a mommy and I have been praying about being a good one, reading about being a good one, thinking about being a good one, dreaming about being a good one, hoping to be a good one and crying every month when I realize I am not one yet.

In my attempt to be ready for something you can't be ready for, I have stumbled upon the most fun blogs of mommies that are enjoying every second of having the best job on earth. And today I found Louie. Louie is what my kids will call their owl bag, just because in our family we name inanimate objects and make them part of the Luehmann clan.

If you'd like to create a Louie for your kiddos here is the link, if you want to create two I'll take one off of your hands because I still don't know how to sew.

If you have advice on how to be ready for babies and be a good mommy, please do share!

Are those that let you order from the kids menu!

Tonight I went to Nordstrom's cafe with my friend Kyle for dinner. I had tomato and basil soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and we sat outside so the view was amazing. It was a great time and my belly was happy. And I had coke for the first time in a while, I am trying to stop drinking the addicting substance but I LOOOOVEE it so much, one day I will be able to quit.

We were babysitting our pastor's daughters this weekend and we had such a busy Friday ans Saturday we figured we had to have some fun on Sunday. So we decided to go to Belmont Park here in San Diego after church. We played some mini golf....

Pretended we were being attacked by sharks....

Went to the restroom and didn't notice the seat cover attached to the shorts (yeah that happened! I was so concerned about the girls not touching anything I left the restroom with the seat cover and walked around for a good 25 minutes without noticing until K saw it as I was shooting basketballs)

We got a ton of tickets at the arcade that we traded for a few fun goodies
We had some shaved ice and cotton candy

And we stuffed ourselves with them. It was such a fun afternoon, we love the little crazy girls.
